Rapid urbanization and rising consumption in India have pushed annual waste generation beyond 62 million tons, yet the majority remains uncycled, exacerbating environmental degradation and landfill pressures. Traditionally, waste segregation has relied on labour-intensive manual sorting at landfills and recycling facilities—an approach fraught with inefficiencies, human error, and inconsistent separation of organic and non-organic materials. To overcome these challenges and promote sustainable wastemanagement, this research proposes an intelligent organic recyclable objects classification system, which harnesses convolutional neural networks
