Abstract—This article proposes a system for detecting people
who have been trapped under rubble and remain in inaccessible
confined spaces. The system is based on thermal imaging
processing. It applies algorithms to search not superficial
victims focused on detecting their heartbeat, so a module
portable search installed in an exploration robot as well as an
external module that processes all information transmitted using
the Robot Operation System (ROS) are implemented.
