Abstract

Water Quality assessment is crucial for maintaining ecological balance and community health. The Water Quality Index (WQI) is a simplified value derived from the analysis of the chemical, physical, and biological parameters of water. Recently, artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches have proven to be promising techniques for predicting of WQI. This study  examines different machine learning techniques used to predict the Water Quality Index and highlights their ability to surpass traditional statistical methods
