Optimal Location and Size of Distributed Generation in Distribution System by Artificial Bees Colony Algorithm
Keywords:
Radial distribution network, distributed generators, artificial bee colony algorithm, power loss.Abstract
Distributed generation (DG) application has
received increasing attention during recent years. The impact
of DG on various aspects of distribution system operation,
such as reliability and energy loss, depend highly on DG
location in distribution feeder. Optimal DG placement is an
important. This paper presents a new methodology using
artificial bee’s conoly algorithm (ABC) for the placement and
size of Distributed Generators (DG) in the radial distribution
systems. The proposed method is tested in standard IEEE 33
bus test system and the results are presented.
